Our very first blog post! Welcome! We've been very quiet on our Facebook, Twitter & Instagram feeds lately as we've been mad busy trying to get our new studio up and running. We are delighted to have secured a fabulous new studio based in the Chocolate Factory on Merchant's Quay in Drogheda, Co. Louth. We can't wait to have a permanent home in the town and be a part of all the action in this amazing new project on the quays.
Today I spent the morning removing expanding foam from the masonry with a wire brush (very glamorous altogether) while John got to grips with removing old insulation and making plans for lighting and electrics. Our shooting space is huge and boasts gorgeous exposed stone walls with high ceilings so we will be spoiled for choice for lighting setups and we have plenty of space for our beautiful new hand painted canvas backdrops - we can't wait to start using them, they're so special. We plan to host portrait workshops for photographers and we will exhibit our work throughout the building.
We will also have a comfortable day room for our clients to retreat to for breaks and costume changes, hair styling and image viewing, meetings etc and a separate office space for editing and organising.
There is a lot of work to do so our original opening date of July 1st is likely to be moved towards the end of the month. We will keep you updated as we progress. We are still taking bookings for portraiture sittings in our current workspace and we are working with our mobile studio for company headshots, so do please get in touch.
We are doing all we can to make a photoshoot with Wilde Photography an unforgettable experience and we just can't wait to show you. We will keep the blog updated throughout the fit-out. Thanks so much for reading. Very exciting times ahead!
